First Home Buyer Concessions

Tasmania offers a stamp duty concession for eligible first home buyers:

  • 50% duty discount: First home buyers receive a 50% reduction in stamp duty on properties valued up to $600,000

To qualify, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident, aged 18+, and must live in the property as your principal place of residence for at least 6 continuous months within the first year.

First Home Owner Grant (FHOG)
